The conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza saw a two-day extension to the humanitarian truce, as announced by Qatar, a key mediator along with Egypt in these negotiations. The extension was confirmed on November 27, as the initial four-day truce was nearing its end.
“The State of Qatar has declared that, as part of the ongoing mediation efforts, an agreement has been achieved to prolong the humanitarian ceasefire for an additional two days in the Gaza Strip,” stated Majed Al Ansari, spokesperson for the Qatari foreign ministry, on a platform formerly known as Twitter.
