In a comprehensive post titled “Why I am leaving Twitter,” Mayor Hidalgo expressed her discontent, highlighting the platform’s proliferation of thousands of anonymous accounts and troll farms. She condemned the atmosphere on Twitter as being contrary to democratic values, stating, “With its thousands of anonymous accounts and its troll farms, life on Twitter is the exact opposite of democratic life. I refuse to endorse this evil scheme.
